Coraline is probably one of my favorite children's books by far. As a kid I loved it and as I child I loved it. Rereading it as an adult it is a pretty scary book if you look at it as an adult. Like going and looking at the mother was scary as heck.
This is probably one of my favorite horror movies that I have seen yet to date in terms of seeing something new with horror. I loved this movie- and it was due to purely its concept. Not only does it address it's racism of the time and doesn't try to avoid it with both African American's and Native Americans- but actually addresses it. Without spoiling anything because I encourage anyone who is a fan of monster movies to watch it, my favorite part was just the attention to detail on all the characters and the reaction. No one is doing western horror. I have no idea why because there is so much that can be done with the concept and it is such a time of discovery and bandits and really hits home with those who grew up watching those old spaghetti western that could really speak to an older audience. I just think it is amazing. Like Red Dead Redemption the game had such a wide reception that I think that it is a genre that isn't really addressed in the more modern literatu...
